Dragon Paws by Beetle

Dragon paws. Five finger and slightly padded for that delightful inhuman look.

These specific paws had attached rubber claws which made finger dexterity excellent. I could pick up and manipulate objects with the claws, almost better than with my own naked fingers.

Medium: mixed-media
Tags: deer fursuit hoof animal hooves costume beetlecat handhooves
Snowflake! by Kacey

SNOWFLAKE!

This started its life as a quick silly doodle on printer paper, and became a finished painting.

It is meant to look like a digital painting, though it is actually inks and acrylic paints on gessobord (gessoed masonite) I like to stick it to digital media, by doing the same thing traditionally ^.~ (I mean no offense to digital artists, in fact, I like what they do - but I prefer the traditional tools)

Medium: Ink, Acrylics
Tags: cat snow snow leopard winter snowleopard teeth mouth tongue snowflake
Nakatsu Puppet by Laura Whent

This is the oldest costuming related piece I'll be uploading. Nakatsu was made in 2003, based off the mechanics of the Timon puppet from the stage production of The Lion King. I didn't get a shot of me in full "costume". I was dressed all in black, and the intent was for me to be Nakatsu's shadow.

The funny part is that some people kept swearing that there was somebody IN there, and that there was no way it was a puppet ;)

Medium: Fake fur, upholstry foam, misc bits
Tags: dragon dragon eastern puppet costume
Faun Costume by Laura Whent

I decided to make a faun as my personal costume for 2006. It gave me the excuse to work with and try several things I hadn't been able to before, and I'm actually quite pleased with the results. I'd like to get a set of leather armor made for this at some point, and even later on I plan on using this as a base for a more complex demoness costume.

Medium: Fake fur, fabric, leather, misc bits
Tags: faun costume satyr
